Information

We are a young but experienced Band from Germany, more precisely from north Bavaria. We are called „Die Blauen Zipfel“, named after a typical Bavarian dish, like an uncooked, sour sausage. As typical as the food is our music. We play Bavarian and German traditional music as well as oldies, pop and rock music.
In Germany, we have a big fanbase and we have a lot of bookings at Oktoberfests and other folk festivals.

In 2014 we played an Oktoberfest event at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City (USA), 2015 we played in Stockholm (Sweden) at the Oktoberfest for several weeks. So we have already some experience in playing in foreign countries. For 2016 we had a few offers including Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Norway in Europe as well as other destinations in the USA. But we played at Leavenworth Oktoberfest Washington.

For these events we recorded our first CD “We rock the Oktoberfest” with our own songs. On this CD there are some typical Bavarian folk songs, played with accordion, trumpet and clarinet next to some songs that are written by the Blaue Zipfel. All songs feature German lyrics.

All musicians play a lot of different instruments including accordeon, drums, guitar, keyboards, saxophon, trumpet, clarinet…. Needless to say, we have some excellent singers and choir. We play our music with some typical Bavarian clothes, too. With our „Lederhosen“, we have an authentic atmosphere.
